About Us
We’re a husband-and-wife team based in Lethbridge, Alberta, and together we run Aspire Photography & Film.
I (Matthew) handle most of the photography, videography, and editing, while Heather manages most of the admin, communication, planning, and making sure everything runs smoothly on event days. You’ll likely meet both of us if you’re booking a large event or wedding, but either way, you’ll always feel like you’re in good hands.
Our business grew out of a shared love of capturing moments beautifully and professionally, and spending our time with people who value those moments as much as we do. Whether it’s an emotional wedding ceremony, a fun and engaging photo booth session, or portraits that celebrate a milestone, our goal is always the same: to document the people behind the moment, their stories, their connections, and the emotions that bring everything to life.
We don’t just show up with a camera. We pay attention to the details and quietly capture the in-between moments you didn’t even know were happening.

Our focus is on creating timeless visuals with rich, natural colour and a style that reflects your day, not someone else’s. We use a mix of natural light and off-camera flash to shape the atmosphere in a way that feels cinematic, but never overdone. A blend of candid moments and gentle guidance gives our work a true-to-life feel, while still offering beautiful portraits that will stand the test of time.
We’re also parents, dog owners, DIYers, board game fans (mostly me, Heather just goes along with it), coffee drinkers, and nature lovers.
Heather and I met while working for a resort in Jasper National Park years ago and have since then spent time living in Nova Scotia closer to family before deciding to return to Lethbridge as we enjoyed the sunshine and people we met along the way. We look forward to always bringing that same love for meaningful, everyday joy into every session, project, and event we take on.
Where We Are
We live and work in Lethbridge, Alberta, and serve clients across Southern Alberta and beyond. We also travel for weddings and events and are happy to quote for jobs further from home.
We have access to a studio space part-time in the historic John Deere building at 1239 2nd Ave S., Lethbridge. This bright, character-filled space on the third floor is available for indoor sessions on select days each month with the rest of our work happening on location at weddings, events, venues and in natural outdoor settings as needed.
